FROM THE SOURCE / AN ORIGIN FIELD GUIDE

Good science asks where.
Great sourcing asks how.

The best omega-3 source isn’t decided by a flag. It is decided by a documented journey—from species and harvest to purification, freshness, and the finished batch.

Iceland.
Know the refiner.

Iceland is part of the story of marine-oil refining. Icelandic refiners can process both local fish stocks and crude oils imported from elsewhere. Refining in Iceland does not establish where every fish was caught.

THE QUESTION TO ASK

Can I trace the oil beyond the refinery?

Ask for the species, catch area, processing location, and batch-specific quality documentation.

FOLLOW THE DOCUMENTATION

A source is a starting point.

A country of origin, a refining location, and a sustainability certification answer different questions. Trace the full chain and evaluate the finished batch rather than treating a national reputation as proof of quality.

Supplier descriptions explain their own processes. They are not independent comparisons of clinical efficacy. The Atlas does not rank or recommend commercial products.
